A Seat in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater or Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater
Many friends of Juilliard have chosen to name chairs in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, which accommodates a number of the School's approximately 700 plus performances each year. Seating nearly 1,000 people,
the Peter Jay Sharp Theater is home to the Juilliard Opera Center and the Juilliard Dance Ensemble as well as the Pre-College Division's orchestras. In addition, the theater is frequently used for faculty recitals, symphonic and chamber music concerts, Juilliard Jazz Orchestra concerts, solo performances and special events.
The newly-renovated Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater is the setting for five fully-staged professional scale productions each year, ranging from classic to contemporary drama.
One may name a seat in the theater with a gift of $10,000 or more. Brass plaques are permanently affixed to seats in the theater and are individually inscribed according to the personal wishes of each donor. Naming a seat in a Juilliard theater is an ideal way to support Juilliard's many activities while honoring a loved one or commemorating a significant event.
