Description:

Explores the roles of music publishers, managers, concert promoters, producers, record labels, agents, lawyers, and publicists, and looks at how performers and composers interact with these industry professionals; also examines the industry standards and practices that all musicians must be aware of, and what their own roles will be in performing, recording, or composing careers. We will analyze actual recording, publishing, and performance contracts; create a financial plan for the independent musician; and learn how to record and release an album.
