Description:

Intensive study of the culture, society, composers, and repertories of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Studies utilize sophisticated methods of historical inquiry and expose students to recent scholarship in these areas. One semester devoted to each period. Required of all first-year D.M.A. students.
