2006-2007 Lunch With an Alum
The Office of Alumni Relations is proud to sponsor Lunch With an Alum, a program that gives current students the opportunity to meet and chat with distinguished Juilliard alumni in their fields. The students benefit greatly from these luncheons, gaining advice and insight in their chosen disciplines. The guest alums for the 2006-07 season include actress Megan Dodds, composer Stephen Schwartz, choreographer Takehiro Ueyama, and dancer Amy Young.

2006-2007 Student Photo Competition Winners
The winners of the 2006-07 Student Photo Competition, which was sponsored by the Office of National Advancement and Alumni Relations, were selected from 69 photos submitted by 31 students. The top three prizes went to first-year dance student Norbert De La Cruz III, for his photo Dancers of a Blue Pond; third-year cello student Jonah Thomas, for his photo Synaesthesia; and doctoral student in flute Jung-Wan Kang for her untitled photo. They will be given gift certificates fro $125, $75 and $50 respectively. Photos by eight other students will be combined with the top three in a 2007-08 calendar to be given to members of the 2007 graduating class in May.

Dance Alumni Event
On December 15, 2006 dance alumni gathered at the Juilliard School for New Dances at Juilliard, Edition 2006, a program of four world premieres commissioned for the Juilliard Dance Ensemble. The evening included the class of 2010 in a work by David Parker titled About 15 Minutes, Matthew Neenan's Otoño performed by the class of 2009, the class of 2008 in Doug Varone's The Constant Shift of Pulse, and Aszure Barton's Still performed by the class of 2007. The performance was followed by a reception in the President's Board Room.

Music Alumni Event
On December 4, 2006 music alumni gathered at the Juilliard School for the Juilliard Orchestra's performance of Berlioz Le corsaire ouverture, Op. 21, Mozart's Symphony No. 38 in D Major, K. 504, Mozart's , Ravel's Suite from Ma mére l'oye, and Ravel's Fragments symphoniques (Daphis et Chloé), featuring Isabele Leonard, mezzo-soprano, and Benedicte Jourdois, piano. The performance was followed by a reception in the marble lobby.
