At Juilliard we educate students to think in music, not just about music. We help develop sensitive and daring minds and hearts that can explore the subtlest musical nuances of any era or style and we develop bodies with the physical skills necessary to meet the technical challenges of that music.

Undergraduate Application and Audition Requirements (Deadlines/Dates)

  1. Online application, including essay (submit by December 1, 2010).
  2. A $100 ($35 BCJ Only) application fee, payable in U.S. funds (submit/post-mark by December 1, 2010).
  3. Pre-screening materials, if required (post-mark by December 1, 2010).
  4. Transcripts (received by February 15, 2011).
  5. TOEFL, if required (received by February 15, 2011).
  6. Letter of Recommendation (received by February 15, 2011).
  7. Audition (Classical Music: Feb. 25 & 27, Mar. 1-4, 2011; Jazz Studies: Mar. 3-5, 2011).

Graduate Application and Audition Requirements (Deadlines/Dates)

D.M.A. Application and Audition Requirements (Deadlines/Dates)*

  1. Online application, including essays (received by December 1, 2010).
  2. A $100 application fee, payable in U.S. funds (received by December 1, 2010).
  3. Pre-screening materials, if required (post-mark by December 1, 2010).
  4. Transcripts (received by December 1, 2010)
  5. TOEFL, if required (received by December 1, 2010).
  6. Dossier (received by February 15, 2011).
  7. Graded Paper (received by February 15, 2011).
  8. Letters of Recommendation (received by February 15, 2011).
  9. Audition (Feb. 25 & 27, Mar. 1-4, 2011).
*Applications without required transcripts and TOEFL (if applicable) by December 1 will be discontinued–late materials will not be accepted.
